Introduction
Hello everyone! Most of my friends will tell you that i'm a social media dinosaur. Blogging is a new experience for me so here we go!
About Me
I have fond memories of cycling up the road to our neighbours in order to borrow a pony and go for a hack. As I got older, and developed the skills required to look after my own pony, I started to compete in pony club area events. It wasn't until I got a job at TB equestrian that I became serious about my equestrian career.

TB equestrian is home to Trilby Crewes and Becky Littleton; two of the top event riders in Cornwall. I learnt SO much about the industry and the horsemanship skill I now have are a direct result of my time with them. Trilby helped me through every up and down which inevitably comes with horses. Fire (pictured and appropriately named) is living proof of that.
My time at the Royal Agricultural University
Proving that I am a social media dinosaur I actually have very few photos of uni. What I do have however, is an amazing group of friends that will probably remain with me for the rest of my life.

I am about to go into my third year studying BSc (Hons) Applied Equine Science and Business. So far I have fantastic memories of summer balls, trips to racing yards and of course Badminton Horse Trials! The RAU have a particularly strong research team which is why I chose to study there.

I am overwhelmed by the generosity and support shown by both the university and the lectures regarding my research project and studies at the RAU.
Work Placement
I was lucky enough to get a summer placement with Plusvital. I was SO excited to work with this company as they have an impressive resume. Their CSO Prof. Emmeline Hill discovered the 'Speed Gene' which can be used to determine the optimum racing distance of thoroughbred race horses. In December 2017 they launched the first equine nutrigenomic supplement based on published scientific research, EnerGeneQ10.

My summer in Ireland has flown by and I really appreciate all the opportunities they have given me from my project to working at Dublin Horse Show.
